My name is Owen, and I run the crew here in Burnaby. I got into this work moving furniture for family and friends around Metrotown and never really stopped, and I built this company around the habits that made those small moves go well: measure before you lift, ask before you assume, and never leave a box job half finished because the truck is full. Most of what we do is condo and apartment work, because that is what Burnaby mostly is, tower after tower along the SkyTrain line, so our crews are used to freight elevators, move-in inspection sheets and hallway corners that a king bed frame does not want to turn. We also handle the houses in the older parts of town, the small offices near Lougheed, and the odd piano that has been in a family longer than the building has stood. Every job starts with a proper look at what you own, not a guess over the phone, because a truck that is the wrong size wastes your day and ours. How far ahead should we book a move in Burnaby?
Two to three weeks works for most local moves. The last weekend of the month fills first because that is when most leases turn over, so if your move lands there, call earlier.
Do you move condos in the Metrotown towers?
Yes, and it is a large share of what we do. We confirm the freight elevator window with the building office and bring floor and door protection for the hallway before we start carrying anything.
Can you pack just the fragile items?
Yes. Some households want the whole place boxed the day before, others only want the kitchen and anything glass done by us. Tell us the rooms and we scope it that way.
What happens if move day is wet, like most days here?
We carry floor runners and door mats as standard, wrap upholstered pieces in plastic before the truck run, and keep the truck ramp covered so the last box off is as dry as the first.
Do you handle a short storage hold between leases?
Yes. If your new place is not ready for a week or two, we can hold your load and deliver it once you have keys, instead of you booking a second company.
