What to have ready

Tell us the pickup and delivery addresses, roughly how many rooms are involved, your ideal date, and anything unusual such as a piano, a safe, or a third-floor walk-up with no elevator. If you already know you want packing help, mention it. If you are not sure, we can talk through the difference in scope.

For a condo or apartment, knowing whether the building requires a booked freight elevator and a certificate of insurance ahead of time saves a round of back and forth later.

How the estimate comes together

For local moves we estimate crew size and hours from your inventory and the access at both addresses. Larger homes and office moves usually get a proper walk-through, either in person or over a video call where you carry a phone from room to room. Smaller apartments can often be quoted from a written list.

Whatever the size of the job, the estimate goes to you in writing before your date is locked in.

When to reach out

For a move at the end of the month, aim for three to four weeks of notice. Mid-month dates in quieter seasons can often be booked with a week's notice or less.

After you book

You get a confirmation with the crew size, the arrival window, and a short checklist for the days before your move. A day or two out we confirm the details, and on the morning itself the lead lets you know when the truck is on the way.

Questions we hear often

People often ask whether we can move a single piece of furniture across town, whether we help load a rented container in a driveway, and whether we handle the freight elevator paperwork for a condo booking. The answer to all three is usually yes, and we are happy to walk through the details before you commit to a date.

We also get asked about certificates of insurance for strata buildings and what happens if a move date needs to shift at the last minute. Both come up often enough that we would rather explain them up front than have them turn into a surprise the week of your move.
